Not all of my friends read my books. It’s not that they don’t want to support me, it’s more that they don’t want to have X-rated mental images of me and my hubby floating around in their minds as they read the spicy scenes. And trust me, there is a plenty of spice. Like, TONS.🌶
As my writing has evolved, so have my sexual preferences. They’ve gotten more…hmm, let’s say edgy and daring, two adjectives my husband happens to love with regard to our sex life. The reality is that if all of my books featured couples having sex in the missionary position, readers would DNF them.
My stories have gotten significantly darker over the years and things I might have cringed at writing back in the beginning are par for the course now. My readers expect a certain level of heat so I need to deliver. That means research is a must.😉
